I wouldn't normally post asking help.. I'd usually just call my Dad.. but I can't seem to get in touch with him.. ugh (ahh the joys of being retired) can I convert this chandelier I purchased into one I can plug in? is there some type of kit or something?

  2. Yes, you can convert it. My advise would be to go to any hardware store. Most any hardware store will carry wiring kits. Just make sure you know how much wire you're going to need to be able to run it from the chandy to the outlet. Some kits may not have a long enough wire so you may have to put the kit together yourself. Just find a kit and look at the contents in it for a guide. My grandma used to make here own hanging lamps from egg cartons and marbles. I wish I could find a picture, they were really different.
    Good luck

  3. I'm really cheap! So I would just use the cord from an old lamp, the longer the better. Floor lamps usually give you the longest cords.
