Anne I can't find you post showing you lanterens. And how you said you made them and what you used. I got 3 yesterday at the flea market. I'd like to TRY and do something like yours...

look on the current post on www.magpiecottage.blogspot.com it has a big snowman in it....about 5 pictures down...
they arent old farm lanterns....rather the big new ones made for candles.....overe 2 ft tall...
i bet you could make one with a barn lantern tho..if you can get inside of it....just put something cool in ...and a battery candle and a little cotten plus mica snow or glitter.... some smaller ones we just put a white poinsetta and snow and a candle..
you could use a little led tealite candle too...ann

MemberLev, could you make a birdfeeder out of the lantern? I bet it would look neat hanging in a tree... take one of the glass sides out and put your bird feed inside ..maybe seal any holes in the tops so the seed does not get wet.. or put tea candels in it and sit it on your porch.. even do some fake type stain glass on the glass panels.. would look neat.
