Anything I make using vintage items sell fast. I have made tulle trees and decorated them with tiny vintage glass ornaments and they sell as fast as I can make them. Also I buy anything I can find resembling a cloche and put bottle brush trees or tiny houses or tiny nativities under them then tie a pretty bow on and they sell fast too.

Thank you ladies for all of your kind encouragement.

All of my projects come from mostly recycled stuff from the thrift store- the domes are from non working anniversary clocks- the tulle is from a wedding dress-the plates under the domes and the bowl for the arrangement and the birds are from the thrift store-the greens are from an old Christmas tree that I found curbside.

Huggy- if you would like the directions for the tree I can email them to you if you want.

I too, would like the directions. I have my mom's wedding dress which has yards and yards of tulling. These would be great to give to my daughter and daughter-in-law for keep sakes. Knightlee80@yahoo.com. thanks in advance.

    OK Ladies here it is-

    supplies-
3 1/2 yards of tulle 72" wide (if you can't find it that wide you can use more yardage and cut them lengthwise)
a dowel about 18 inches long
and a wood block for the base(I have also put floral foam in small planters and used that as a base)
A cardboard circle about 8 inches in diameter (I use a plastic lid and cut the circle because it's not as flimsy as cardboard)

    Cut tulle into strips-

    1 strip of each
    15" wide and 72" long
    14" wide and 72" long
    13" wide and 72" long
    12" wide and 72" long
    11" wide and 72" long
    10" wide and 72" log
    9" wide and 60" long
    8" wide and 60" long
    7" wide and 60" long
    6" wide and 45" long
    5" wide and 45" long
    4" wide and 45" long
    3" wide and 45" long

Cut a small circle in the cardboard or plastic circle and slip it on the dowel. You want it to go on tight so it won't slip down. This holds the bottom layer of the tree to keep it from looking floppy.

Fold strips in half lengthwise (fold 15" X 72 in half making it 7 1/2 X 72).Run heavy basting thread close to fold (I use fishing line).
Pull thread to gather tulle then tie the ends to make a circle and tie the ends. Slip the circle on the dowel. I slip each one on as soon as I am done making it so I don't get confused as to which one goes on next because once they are all finished they are pretty close in size.
Repeat the process with each layer and soon you will have a tulle tree.

It is really simple but a little time consuming. The end product is worth it though!
