    Wanted to first say Hello! Just joined your community but have been an avid reader for a while.

    Wanted to share a couple of finds I got yesterday at yard sales and ask how or should I do anything to the metal stools.

    The stools were $3 each and the printer's drawer was $15.

    Welcome Lynn. Great finds. I would paint the stools with a "rustoleum" paint (color of your choice). If you have a "junk" working spot they would be a great addition to that area.

    Thanks for the welcome! Linda - The items will be for sale in one of my booths at the antique malls I am in. The stools have a bit of rust on them. Is there any prep to them before I paint?

    Welcome Lynn!!! Maybe sand then prime with metal primer then your paint...What awsome deals...

    Hi Lynn! I love love your stools!!! If it were me I would scrape the crusty rust off then clear coat those suckers! I have had the best luck selling coated rusty things! What would be really neat is to have them all rusted, then make a cushion for them out of something like silk or velvet...even cowhide!!!

    I can't wait to see what you do with your wonderful finds!!! Oh, and welcome! :-)

    Welcome Lynn! I'm with Robelyn, cleaned up, clear coated, and a cushion. I love tall chairs and stools. I've been collecting them for our barn so there is someplace for everyone to sit if you're working on a project down there. Of course the barn would actually have to be cleaned up.......
