    What did you make the bodies and hats out of? Great idea that could translated to other display mediums. Great job!

  10. thanks ya'll! these are old vintage photographs that I embellish with paper, buttons, ribbon, etc. I use dried moss or excelsior in the bottom of old bottles and mason kars and lanterns. There are links to free images on my blog :D

    I make witches hats from stiff paper; the brim is a small piece cut into an oval shape with a slit cut into it to slide over the head. The pointy top of the hat is a triangle shape glued to the back. I've used red and black tissue paper crinkled up for capes, and small pieces of old black tulle, use what you have on hand. Then I drop in things like paper print outs of mushrooms, charms, buttons, bells, shells, feathers...collect some things from around the house. I paint on glue and glitter to the back of the bottle or lantern and let that dry;on one I used a piece of fake spider web and a spider confetti.
