  1. I got this light fixture at the auction I worked Tuesday night for $2.00 with other fixtures...

Here are a couple ways to work it. I like the short one for a centerpiece (would paint it of course)... but really like the tall ones for nice big candles sitting in a corner.

I feel the pole is too bland and needs something, but I don't think the berry garland is it...

Sorry the pix are bad, used my phone camera instead of my nice one (it was out of batteries!)

Any imput would be great! Thanks ladies!

  4. I love those vintage light covers and they make great serving pieces, bird baths, and even turned over for a base on a garden totem. I have 3 and plan on using them for garden totem bases as gifts this Christmas for friends. I have been fortunate to find 2 for 50 cents each at my favorite thrift store. The tall pole is really unqiue and maybe some different more colorful garland would make it pop. Great find and good luck! Be sure and share the finished project with us! Jan

  6. Could the tall pole lamp still be used as a lamp? That would be my vote. I love those old lamps. Set a table next with fun vintage items and then stack some suitcases on the other side.

(long poled one) i'd use some really striking colors for the berries and maybe even add some ivy and mini white lights!! or even grunge up some stars and add them sporadically with the berries

a good cover could be one of the paper tubes material comes on, you could faux paint it to look like metal
