We were lucky to get two of these cargo pods from our local airport.. they upgraded all their pods and so they had to get rid of the old ones.. one of my son's friends works at the airport and he was able to get 5 and so we got two of them... we have painted this one and still have some work to do on it.. I want to make it into a cottage looking shed.. with fake windows and flower boxes , we will see..

Oh how cool is that?!?! I can see lots of possibilities with it - love the idea of making it look like a cottage. Please PLEASE post more pictures as you get it looking like a cottage.

Thanks I will, if I remember how to post pics We have not cut off the ropes as yet so we can move it if we have to... so that is why they are still hanging around.. we do plan on putting in window for vents..but not sure just what kind and where.. I would love to put them on either side of the front door.. not large ones but small windows.. and then paint them to look like they have curtains in them.. we will see. lot has to do with son's help and he is working 7 days a week.. in construction and so he is pretty tired when he gets home.. I still have some touch up to do on the doors and the trim..trying to think of somekind of treatment for the roof.. these are fiberglass so nothing to heavy can hang off them unless we shore them up with some wood on the inside..they have some wood framing on the inside now.. but would need more.. Grandson and I keep our bikes in there now..

what size are the pods??
think it was on robolady's blogspot, lady sent in a pic of how she took twin bed frames and made them into fences/gates to their cottage-like shed....check it out if you can....maybe margo can tell you exactly where its located...very cute idea!!Posted 1 year ago # -
Thanks Gigi, I also saw where a lady made some benches out of skids and my son gets a lot of them as he has his own shed down back on the property where all his buddies hang out after work , have a fire and solve all the problems of the world.. They have a burn barrel and TV in the Shed, small Frig. grill , the works.. We ran a water line to our garden this year and they all jumped in and helped made it nice.. just wish the weather would have done better for the garden.. tomatoes did not ripen as they should.. will have buy tomatoes this year to make my salsa..my peppers did well, potatoes also but string beans did not do well at all and neither did my cumcumbers.. herb all did great.. so I am drying them have some great ones this year.
