I'm looking for a chain link gate to use as a garden treliss. Wondering if anyone has one for sale or knows of anyone that is willing to sell. Please email me if you or someone you know has one or if you have an idea of where I might find one(besides the obvious places i.e. antique shops and junk stores).

Sorry, I can't help you, but I just wanted to welcome you to the Revolution. The only places I've ever seen them these later years is in the clutches of Antique dealers and they usually command a pretty penny for one.

Welcome to the JR johnnypbp. I can't help you on the gates either, the only ones I ever run across are still connected to fences and in use :( And like Sue said, once they get into the hands of a dealer the price is outta my range.Hope someone here can help you.

Try a local salvage yard. I know we have one in our area and he takes EVERYTHING! They usually take anything metal so they should have some fencing. Diane

Welcome johnnypbp. I found my garden gate at a local flower days market. It was pretty reasonable. If I were you I'd check the flea markets always a good place to find almost anything. You can also have your friends keep an eye out for you. I always have list of items friends are looking for. Just a thought.
Welcome again.

When ever I need something I always post it on Craigslist in the "Wanted" section. I'm sure everyone's been on craigslist, right?

most people know they can get a pretty penny for them. Good luck with that, maybe you'll find someone who doesn't know what they have! (love those kind of people!!)

If you've never been on craigslist check it out. There's one in every city in the US. Go to the "for sale" section, and buy, sell or trade or get things for free. It's all local so no shipping. and it's completely free. You can advertise your yard sales for free too. I've sold alot of my kids toys on there. And, usually in the spring someone is giving away free perrenials, all you have to do is dig them up. Honestly, go to craigslist.org and type in your city. It's one of my favorite places.

A little off topic, but on craigslist - I got a baby mattress and springs yesterday for free from a guy on CL. I just tore off the plastic over the mattress a few minutes ago - and I just about died! 8 rows of 10 springs - did you HEAR ME?!?! I am now the proud owner of 80 springs for crafting. I'll add to the bedsprings post when I take pics....
I have 80 SPRINGS!!

I posted on CL for crib mattresses because I thought they'd be easier to handle/transport with my Jeep Cheroke.
Robelyn - I'm so glad you offered free storage space - I'm running out of space!!!
Linda & LuAnn - now you know! LOL.
Now KIM - WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH YOU?!?!?!? ROTFLMBO!!

I don't know of any but that reminds me of this:
So I am always thinking of peddling..and my husband just doesn't get this latest grand idea....{as per discussed tonight]
I drove by a chain linked dog kennel that said my favorite words, FOR SALE. It was a beautiful sight, pre assembled, big front door...It was MINE!
I have two large indoor dogs, and they will stay in the yard when let out, but usually just scratch to get back in to reform the pillows for laying down. So I have been thinking that an outdoor kennel would be nice for an occasionally day gone...dogs out there in case we run late. I was running on time with the luxury of time to stop and inform on the price. Thats where cells phones are price less! I call my husband and tell him of the location and ask him to go check it out, and that if it is under 200.00 BUY IT!
So he later calls to say it is 100.00 and we can go get it later that eve. Which we do. It is resting on a flat bed trailer awaiting to be put in place. So another neighbor stops by, says he see we have this kennel, do we want to buy another for 100.00?
I was gone at the time, so my husband says no. I get home today, there is a message, another neighbor wants Mike to stop by and look at his tractor...and Hey, I was wondering about that dog kennel? So my plan, buy the other neighbors for 100.00 and if it bigger keep it and sell this one to the other guy for 125.00!
Hey..ya gotta be thinking. Cha Ching.
My husband does not see my mode of thinking on this one...he figures we will just end up with two kennels. He said, I will simple tell neighbor B of Neighbor A's kennel, and he can go buy it from him......Darn, thats no fun at all. And I loos 25.00!Posted 3 years ago # -
LOL...I like your way of thinking...
Posted 3 years ago # -
I do too... anything to make a buck today!
Yes Maggie- come to Iowa and kick my butt this time... dang karma!
Posted 3 years ago # -
sounds like too much trouble for $25.00
