will be next Thursday, Friday and Saturday here in Arkansas. The sale route goes from Beebe, Arkansas to Fort Smith, Arkansas. It's the 10th year for the sale. Haven't been but a couple of times but think I'm psychin' up for this year.

I've forgotten how to post a link but it's easily found on several web sites.

I posted a pic of one of the signs on an earlier post. I am starting on the Ft Smith end. Hope to go a long way but will have to see how fast the truck fills up. I am going with friends but unfortunately they can't go until Sat. so I may have to try to go a little on Thurs or Fri alone. Maybe I'll see you there!

Got home last night from Bargains Galore on 64. Friend and I started out Thursday morning from Beebe, Arkansas. We shopped HARD all day and wound up driving on in to Fort Smith, Arkansas in the dark waaay after all the sales had closed down. Bought t-shirts, panties and toothbrush and paste at Wal-Mart, got a motel and spent the night! LOL

Up early yesterday morning and started back on the route from Fort Smith east to Beebe.

Bought LOTS of stuff and will post photos later. Hope this doesn't offend anybody, but some of the things that I DIDN'T buy: three or four USED baby pacifers, bags of Depends, two coffins and a "personal massager" with all the attachments. (Tag said "Works good!") Hmmmm......... LOL

    We had a great time!
Lovecrafting? did you get to go? Did you do any good? Thought about painting "SecondhandRosie" on my truck glass! LOL

Yep, there are some items I would just have to pass on and those are included. Coffins????? Have to admit I've never seen a coffin at a sale before. Can't wait to see what you DID buy.

OK, secondhandrose, I've been giving the coffins some thought. That might make an ideal planter for me. Seems I kill everything I plant anyway!

Rosie- Unfortunately I didn't make it. I am battling RA and my Dr gave me some new meds that make me way too loopy to be driving. I hate that I had to miss it but DH promised next year we'll be there and He said I can go crazy! He even promised to rent a uhaul truck if I need it!

We left from here Thurs. morn & drove to Ft. Smith & started from there. We worked our way over to Ozark & then went down to Boonville & spent the night with #1 GS. Started out again Fri. & got to Russellville where we spent the night. We got up this morn & got as far as Morrilton & decided to head south & home!We bought a lot, had fun, but were very glad to be home! I know we had to pass each other somewhere. We saw the coffins, but didn't stop to check them out. I think they had a pretty good price on one of them! LOL

Awww,Maggie, if I knew that you had plans to attend, I guess I had forgotten it. Was it just me, or did you think that most of the furniture that was afforable was in really bad shape? Then the furniture that was gorgeous - the prices WERE sky high!??

Wish we could have met in the middle! LOL

Greta...I think it was Tues that I found out that we might go. I saw a lot of stuff that was way over priced, a lot of stuff that was dirty & alot of stuff that should have been in a trash can. I don't understand why so many didn't have their things priced. Isn't that one of the cardinal rules for having a good garage sale? Did you stop at the one that had $8.00 pepper plants? They were nice plants, but not that nice. LOL

No, didn't see the red hot pepper plants! LOL
I agree - I sure saw a lot of dirty looking clothes laying on tarps out in yards. Yuck! If I wanted to handle dirty clothes I'd have stayed home and done my own laundry! LOL

I took a child's small wooden chair to the booth today, along with a brown glass hippo cookie jar, a set of 8 books, several novels and that's about it for today.

I got an old wood stove door and plan on using it as a hotpad in the kitchen. It has some rust on it. Any idea how to get it all off? Have been thinking about taking it camping with us and putting it in the fire to get all the gunk off.

That's what my Mother used to do to clean iron skillets. I have some that I need to clean up, but I never think about it when I have a fire going. On that stove door...if it's not very bad I'd use a wire brush on it. I took pics of my stuff yesterday....going to put them on my blog when I have time. I bought this wooden tray with advertising on it for $4 & a huge wooden bowl(16 1/2 in.)for $3. Those 2 are staying right here with me! LOL

  18. Wow Maggie what a great price for that bowl...
