First it was American Idol. Now it's Design Star...Do any of you watch it???

Yes;it's a guilty pleasure. I have it recorded at home since I am working. I really like seeing what the contestants come up with under such a time limit. I do, wonder, though how biased the story we see is. You can do a lot to influence viewers by the way you choose which clips to include.

I never got into any reality tv until 2 years ago when we started watching (I'm ashamed to say it) Project Runway. It got addicting. What is it about reality tv? Once you start watching it it sucks your in and your have to see what happens next week. So now we watch America's got talent. Only because we don't have cable or else it would be HGTV and Decorating Cents. Diane

Diane - decorating cents is my favorite all time show! However! I am into Design Star this season...I can't believe they sent color designer home before Taco!!! I was so "AUGH!" last night I jumped up and started yelling at Candace! LOLOLOL Not only did she copy but for the 3rd week in a row it looked HORRIBLE!!!!!!

She may be the one going home next week then...Vern was talking to someone on the preview show and said I can't believe you'll still here(something to that affect)...I think Dan(I think that's his name) will be the next DS...He reminds me of David off of Color Splash...

o.k. I couldn't find anything on last night so my husband and I decided to watch it... I didn't catch much of it because he was giving me a backrub... but it does look like an interesting show... I love Genevive and Vern (not too fond of Candace, though)

I have to admit, I love Hell's Kitchen. Gordon is the guy I wanna be... able to tell everyone what I think to their face and get by with it. Plus, I swear a lot so I have a connection with him!

OH Hillbilly please don't tell of your back rubs....LOL I use to get them. Now if I get a leg or foot rub it's a trade off... I love to watch Hell's kitchen to. I was watching season 6 on Reality Tv sat night and wouldn't you know I fell asleep on the last show...

oh- I had to beg and plead for it because I had SUCH a headache...

Don't you hate when you do that... I've fallen asleep before- and been so upset when I woke up an hour later!

Well I have to take a sleeping pill to sleep at nights.( Ever since I had my babyfactory taken out I can't sleep). I just go into the first stage. But anyways...Sometimes it might take hrs for it to kick in and then bamm i'm gone....My sister in law is from England also and said that when he's on a talk show over there he's real shy...CAN YOU IMAGINE!!!!!

What channel, night and time is Design Star on? I love those kinds of shows...especially Project Runway, which I wish would get started up soon!

I'm with you thehillbillies...that's why I love Judge Judy because what other person can call someone a "bum" and "an idiot" and get by with it!! I take out my frustrations through watching her! LOL!

DS is on sunday nights at 9:00...On 112 dish tv. I don't if you have cable or direct...It's HGTV...

I'm not a big American Idol fan, but I do like many of the "reality" competition shows. I think I've watched Design Star from the start. My person always seems to come in second. I really think Dan is talented (which means he probably won't win). But I agreed with sending the colorist home -- she wasn't so good. Taco (?) will be going home soon. Her design WAS a straight ripoff of a previous design. But I think it's hilarious how she acted completely clueless, and then said "Oh, you know now that you mention it, I think someone did maybe do something like this before."....Riiggghhhttt.

That is my favorite challenge and every year for 2-3 weeks after it I find myself in the hardware store, $ store, etc. imagining what I would have come up with.

I also LOVE Project Runway (coming up soon). And I enjoy the cooking competitions -- Hell's Kitchen, the Next Food Network Star, and Top Chef. There's also a hair styling one that's pretty fun, too.

I'm getting a little sick of Paula anyways...but she'll find her way onto something else. I think she could almost be a better judge for a dance show because everyone knows she's a much better dancer (and choreographer) than a singer! I heard lots of names being tossed around to replace her...some pretty big stars. I like Hell's Kitchen, but I'd be petrified to work under Chef Ramsey!!

I'm not really into reality show either but my daughter got me into AI season before last (when David Cook won). It was our bonding time together. Didn't watch to much this year--she's now on her own-boo hoo. I always thought Paula was a space cadet and am glad she's gone.

My favorite reality show is "Amazing Race"--JH got me stuck on this one.
