I've seen Tipsy Pots "hanging". Does anyone have instructions on how to do this? What do you use to keep the bottom pot on?

You can buy those flower stakes with a loop on one end. That loop goes on the bottom. After you add all your pots make a hanging hook on the end. HTH....I'm not good at explaining things. LOL

  5. Welcome tshallow... I made a couple last yr. I got it sounds like the same thing that maggie was talking about. Except I put my loop a the top and bent the bottom into another loop to keep them on. I used smaller pots on mine. It took 4. If I can find it i'll take a pic. I painted mine also and added a tassel on the bottom for decoration...

Welcome tshallow! That so cool, but I bet they needed a fork lift to hang it, that looks heavy unless they got a step ladder and planted it after it was hung. Oh I can see me trying to do that LOL Potting soil, broken pots, swinging rebar and an up ended step ladder and me. My tipsy pots are safely on the ground.

The picture posted by thehillbillies was taken at the flea market in Tyler Texas. This is a product I invented, produce, and sell. The person who took this picture did so without my permission and I would appreciate it if this image were removed from this thread.

On the other hand I am generally very cooperative with folks who want to make their own hanger and I would be happy to share the design with anyone forthright enough to ask. I just don't like stealing --- anything.

Whoa, I think your accusation of stealing is a bit harsh. This forum is a place to share ideas and inspire others. I don't know where the picture came from but the image was posted as a visual to do just that. Last I knew pictures taken at public places could be shared. Maybe you should have posted a sign at your booth saying "Picture taking is prohibited"
As far as it being YOUR invention, these pots in various form have been around for years. I just googled "Hanging Tipsy Pots" and found these. So Moderator go ahead and remove the above pic, we'll keep these pictures to inspire others.

Oh and welcome to the Junk Revolution.

Leveta speechless? LOL Hard to imagine. But I know what you mean. I read this post and it immediately (as hugs would say) got my panties in a wad LOL
I hope my post wasn't rude, that wasn't my intention. I guess pre-coffee this morning it kind of got my hackles up. I love this board and all you folks on it and I just got a little defensive.

i do not think your post was rude in the least bit paintwife that is why i commend you for it!!
i do believe that the way in which mpmccarthytx wrote hers, is in fact very rude, tactless and presumptuous!!

had i not read yours first...i may have been rude, which isn't pre-coffee, post coffee, decaf coffee, etc....the post annoyed me...plain and simple.

you have originals and knock-offs no matter WHAT the item is, cars, clothes, crafts, food, etc. that is the price paid for advertising...big or little business and a SMART BUSINESS PERSON would gladly take free advertising or spreading word of their product and gain more business from it...than to put exactly where they set up shop and detour MANY, MANY, junkers from going near it in the future....cuz we all know we have a busload of folks who live near Tyler, TX.

whomever said that being in a public place was not illegal to take a picture on your own camera...has to be right or else my niece and the other millions of professional photographers would have a circle around the world waiting in line for a court appearance!!

Hey, Lorene, I would make a stop in Tyler TX but that would be a very expensive trip for me.. since I live in Kentucky..LOL but I say we post that pic of the tipsy pots all over the internet..LOL boy boy that would really frost someone. I think you can take a pic of anything as long as they do not have a sign up saying no picture taking or posting of any pictures without my consent.. and I can hardly believe she thought that up all by herself.. sounds to me like she is related to Al Gore who said he invented the internet.. LOL LOL and big into globle warming and has a huge house that uses enough electric in one year that could furnish electric for an entire small town for a year.. Some folks just do not know when they should not speak and when they should..

  19. Expensive for me too, I'm in Massachusetts. Still would be a sight to mob the flea market w/ our cameras. Like the poparotzi (sp?) :)
