Leveta, I love the shelf unit. I think sunflower fabric would go great with your new paint. Go for it girl!
Sue
are you planning on doing both that color or just the bookshelf? think it would look adorable!
Love the metal one. Would look jammin' bright yellow (and would match my kitchen, hint, hint :) Diane
Just the bookshelf. I posted the wrong pic...I couldn't see the pic very and got the wrong one...Actually I did paint the other one a green/blue. When I get time I think i'm going to decopudge(sp) some pic's of different foods and their recipes...What do you think? On the blue/green serving cart...
That sounds adorable. You can put your mothers cole slaw receipe on it so it will always be near! We did an old ironing board with a 1927 Sears Catalog. All the old underwear and clothes. Very cute. Diane
Oh and I think the other shelf will look great yellow with the sunflower material. Love sunflowers. And daisies.
Diane I found a calendar at our bank that has the pic's and the recipes that go with them. Also got a Norman Rockwell calendar to...I hope I don't ruin it...
you will have to post pics. Love Norman Rockwell. Diane
Make color copies of the calendars so you can save the originals. I always use copies for decoupage
Oh my goodness - I love that bookshelf! Is it me or does it have a slight "50's" feel to it? I love that style...*sigh*
Leveta - that will be so cute with the sunflower yellow!!! I can't wait to see it when you have it all painted up and decked out!!!
Thanks everyone...I wanted to make sure that was a good ideal before I buy the material. And not just what I think would be cute...Do I need to use spray adhesive? I've never used it before...
I was coming back from a dr's appt this morning and stopped at a local church having a yard sale. They had a metal bookshelf painted a funky blue for $2 - of course, I passed on it b/c I have no place for it. But I did get 6 pairs of old clip on earrings and a pin for $2! The earrings will go on my christmas tree in my spare bedroom - it's my earring tree which I keep up all year long!
Would love to see a pic of the tree this yr...
Well that's way neat...Thanks for posting it...
I don't leave my tree up all year but at Christmas I have a light blue feather tree I decorate with vintage jewelry and tiny vintage ornaments.
At first I thought I lost so many days that xmas was here already....lol just kidden, but I do lose days at times...I guess we all do...I bet a blue father tree is pretty...
DH always tells me not to rush Christmas but I am crazy when it comes to holiday decorating.
