o.k. I'd like to take a mini-vacation with my husband. We both love antiquing, junking, etc. We are on a tight budget since he's not working and going back to school. But I didn't know if there was any place around the southern part of Minnesota that would be a good couple day trip for us to take a break.
Probably going to be a lot of looking... but didn't know if there were a few spots clumped together that we could hit one day and then drive somewhere else the next.
Any thoughts?

Kim--I'm from Oklahoma so I don't have ideas but I did go to the Junk Bonanza last year and we spent 2 days going to other places around the same area and there are some really great places. I'm really wanting to go back this year.

Sure!!! The more the merrier... and I'll taste test everything before you so we can be sick together if you get more food poisoningn LOL!

Another idea is the Goldrush flea markets in August - one in Oronoco and one about 30 minutes away in Rochester (I would say they are in southern Minnesota). Take a look at the link to Oronoco in the Junk Revolution Gallery for the dates. You could go to one on Friday, and the other on Saturday. Last year we did both in one day...my feet were not happy!

Sue- I do try, it's what gets me through the day... otherwise, as HR, I would go InSaNe!!!
Kari- My mother-in-law use to do the shows in Oronoco and Goldrush... that would be a great idea... one of those weekends when I wish I had a big u-haul truck, but will only drive the car!
Last year we pulled a UHaul to Goldrush --- and worked to fill it!
It was such fun...and my wish came true to go to a flea market "like I mean business" -- which to me means pulling a UHaul.
