  10. I did and after I fill out thing, it will say fill out phone number in proper format...So I went to the Glidden site and filled it out and it said the same thing...I added dashes between the numbers, I took off the 1, how many formats is there for a phone #...

    Posted 3 years ago #
  11. When I put the phone number in I put area code, dash, and the phone number with a dash after the first three digits just like you did. It doesn't sound like you are doing anything wrong. I don't get it either. I hope someone else with think of something.

Thanks for the reminder. I saw this giveaway on a T.V ad last night and had forgotten about it. DH will probably kill me, he's a painting contractor (hence my name)and we always have tons of left over paint from various jobs in our barn that he begs people to take LOL. But we use Benjamin Moore and Cabot's. I'll give Glidden's a try and heck I can't pass up on FREE! I got spring cactus, wish they gave a choice of oil or latex.

  21. I just ordered the antique purple. I was going for the black as that seems to be a color we are always running out of but decided to go for something a little more fun!! Thanks We usually get most of our paint at the reclaimed paint center for recycling. Rarely to we get new paint for our projects.

Leveta, I asked DH and he said if after the paint is thoroughly dry you put a coat or two of varnish over it, it should weather outside. Then I asked what "thoroughly dry" means to a paint contractor and he said give it 2 days to be safe. Then he went on to say why don't you just use exterior paint etc. So I had to explain the Glidden give away and fess up that I ordered my quart. He was not too thrilled LOL but Hey it was free.

  25. LOL...Thanks for the info...I probably use it on an inside project for my shop...And your right, it was free, my fav. word...Thanks again...

  26. Paintwife - oh, that cracks me up. The wife of a painter ordering free paint behind her contractor husband's back. That could be a cute little novel to curl up with on a rainy day! Teehee.

Got my soft sage today! However, the lid is non-reusable so I guess I will have to find another container to put it in after I open it! But for free, what does it matter?!!!!

  31. I love clear plastic peanut butter jars for paint. I put part of the label from the paint can on the jar so I have the color name and mixing info. Plus you can see the paint color without opening it. I've been doing this for years and have yet to have any paint dry up in the jar.

    Posted 3 years ago #
  32. Marge - I use plastic peanut butter jars too. They really come in handy, don't they?

  33. great idea... except that is the dog's treat... we empty out the last of the peanut butter and she spends 1-2 hours getting the last of the peanut butter out of the bottom of the jar... chewing it all the way down...

You did all that with one qt. of paint? That would be a good ad for them! That's a beautiful color!

Wow Dianne, that's a great color. I was also thinking that little quart sure went a long ways.
Still haven't decided what I'm going to use my paint on, I just finished priming some boards for a much needed bookcase and might use my "spring cactus" on that.

  44. I love that color!!! Great job!

    Posted 3 years ago #
  45. LOL!!! Yes I did it with one court of paint and I still have a little bit left. It never occured to me that it went a long way until I saw your comments.
I liked the color so much that I went to Home Depot and bought another court of the same color in exterior and painted some patio furniture with it. I think that's enough creamy blueberry!!!
