Omigosh! That really IS a great haul! What is that white thing in the front? Organizer? Magazine rack? Store display?

Looks like there's two pieces of matching furniture. What are they and are they in good shape?

You did good! Must be some bright flashlights! LOL

    great!!

i'm ticked at my husband...our town is doing the cleanup, too and usually most wait until the last few days.

coming home from mothers day dinner...i see (3) chairs...i ask him to pull over, he's like: "i will as soon as i get gas, 1 block over"...then he decides..."we need ice cream for dessert another block over".

i'm like, "uh...my chairs"....he says, as soon as i get ice cream....no sooner does he go inside the building and i sit at a picnic table...a doggone van pulls up and took my chairs!!

so, dear old husband and kids decide to harrass me the rest of the way home...about 1/2 block!! oh, mom i think we should get some chairs for out front....honey, if you stop by the store-why don't you pick up some chairs for the deck!!!!!

    "ha-ha-hardy-har-folks!!" i'll get over it.....eventually!! GGEEERRRRRRR!!! :(

i think they get embarrassed when i want to get something...but i don't hear them complaining as much when it makes money to buy something they want in return!!

if i set something out and someone wants it, heck...i'll help them load it, i don't get embarrassed for them!!

  9. I didn't pick up nearly as much as Fjerda and her sisters (same town!), but then I didn't go in the dark or the rain -- and it was POURING on Friday night. Everything I put curbside was picked up by early afternoon Friday. I'm glad we all make use of each other's junk and keep it out of the landfills!

Great finds...Can't imagine anyone throwing away those crates...

  11. Oops - my bad! I bought the crates at a garage sale -- 50 cents each! The rest was free on the curb.

  12. Neat finds! have fun with them. Jan

  13. The shelf units would have been from the end of a kitchen counter perhaps, they are in good condition and have a laminate finish. The chairs smaller one is red in fair condition needs a good cleaning mainly and the larger one is orange and in very good condition it swivels and rocks a good size for a man. Some of the cupboards that we found are also real finds with doors and drawers intact but are they heavy. We had the home owner's son help with loading and a son-in-law help with the unloading. Can't wait to get them cleaned up.

  14. how awesome!!! I wish our town had curb days... I'm itching to go out, but sold my almost dead Blazer a couple months ago and don't have a truck to haul things!!! So if I go, I'm going to have to get in shape to treck the 30+ miles with my goods on my back!!! Great finds to everyone!!!

Super finds! I love Big Trash Pickup!

    Posted 1 year ago #
  17. Several of the smaller towns around do a city-wide cleanup days in So. MN We are a little of 3600 in pop. and the city charges 75 cents a mo on our utility bill. There is always more items curbside than on the acceptable list but most of it is gone by Sat. noon. More cities could do this and I know that Lions and other such groups also take it on as a project to do the pickup coordination.

    Posted 1 year ago #
  18. We don't have the community clean up, but occasionally we have the "community garage sales" - but I am guilty of stopping at a trash pile...LOLOL

hillbillies, i'll come pick you up. I don't have a truck, but I have a GREAT little car with LOTS of hauling space! (that was one of my "pick this car" mandates.)

This literally was sitting on the curb today, I had to stop and see what was in the boxes, my daughter and her friends were with me, she was saying mom don't embarass me in front of my friends. I told her just to consider it "Junk Training" for her friends! One of them said they thought it was funa dn they would love to go along next time.

Here is what I got for FREE, 2 flower frogs, 3 small colored dishes, one wire basket, 2 lamps, and a ouija board. Yeah!!! love the flower frogs, I was just thinking of them today and waht happens, I get two for free!

OK, I'm asking...What are flower frogs???

    Posted 1 year ago #
  24. Hmmmm....mine are either glass with holes in them or metal with "teeth" and what they were ORIGINALLY intended for was to hold individual flowers in place in an arrangement - however....there are all kinds of fun things to do with them! The metal toothy ones make GREAT mail catchers, place cards on a table setting, etc. and the glass ones make fun writing pen holders, small pennant flag holders, etc. There are ALL KINDS of fun things to do with them though!!! We've gotta find you one!!!

Here is a link to Margo's blog and her post on frogs...

  29. Hi Gypsyqueen - Glad you're here! I have to agree with you...we ARE in the wrong state!!! LOL I keep thinking I HAVE to go up north to see everyone's junk!!!

    Posted 1 year ago #
  30. I agree. Folks in my area don't understand refurbished junk. Go figure! They always ask what I plan on doing with some rusty thing I find at an estate sale as they stand there with their gleaming sparkly glassware that won't sell in a booth around here! I just smile and tell them my idea and they usually say 'wish I had found that!' I always avoid the push/shove event at an estate sale in the house and head for the garage or storage in the backyard. Lots to find there. I love garden junk! Jan

Jan, that's the way I am--forget the glassware everyone is snatching up--give me something rusty and unique. And the storage building or backyard is usually the treasure mine!

  32. Yep...all the cool old bird cages and stands (complete with rust and dirt). I love old glavanized pails, tubs, all that mess. It can all go outside without any work on it and does just fine. I love to dig in the storage sheds that haven't been sorted or priced too. Just drag it to the cashier, (mention how dirty it is too) and get a great price for it! LOL ! Besides I don't get trampled outside either. Jan

About a month ago we had big trash pick up day, My friend & I always look forward to it, we start out early & usually spend the whole day junkin. We found 3 old wood doors (someone was remodeling an old house) in really good shape & an old chippy desk to die for. We clean up the door a bit & took the desk in as we found it. The doors sold for $50.00 each & the desk for $36.00. I wish we could find out when all the towns around us have big trash days! There just isn't any thing like getting something from the curb that someone else thinks is trash & selling it at a decent price.

  35. Well that junk pile that we picked up some of it is now ready to sell at our Vintage Treasures Market that will be held here next week June 19 & 20. We have about 12 additional vendors joining us.
Several of you will know some of the others as they are Junk Bonanza vendors also but, we have pulled in a couple of them that are also at Oronoco Gold Rush in August. Places Ki is seen at all the time!! as most of you know. I hope some of you will drive to St. Charles, MN

    Posted 1 year ago #
  36. Remember that pile from a month ago well we are getting some of it arranged and Frannie just had to get in the picture. After finding this dress in a box with some fabric that she was digging through. We are working so hard that I think I will be able to get my car in the garage by the end of the day tomorrow.

I spent yesterday -- again -- working at trying to empty my mom's house. Lots more treasures but not enough time to have things ready for this Vintage Treasures Market. We need to schedule another one!

Frannie and her new dress look stunning - especially in the orange vinyl chair!

  38. We are ready?! Well, the tents were delivered and set up at noon today. We got them marked off for spaces and finished a few more things in the yard. Then we got the iced tea as it became very humid today and about 85*. Decided to order pizza so we did not have to cook and then we heard the weather reports of wind, rain, hail and possible tornados. So, the tent sides were taken back down and we brought some of the things in or covered. It is now midnight and the storms seem to have gone around us although some a few miles away were not so lucky. They say it may repeat this pattern for tomorrow. Amy from Whisperwood cottage & Junkologie has arrived with husband, dog and in-laws in tow. We plan for a wonderful day tomorrow getting everyone set up.

  44. The day started out very foggy with drizel and was a little slow but a little after noon the sun made some peaks between the clouds and the shoppers started coming in greater numbers. I think all did fairly well for the day.
We had Robin of Three Shabby Chicks; Liberty, MO stop by and do some buying will see her at Junk Bonanza in Sept as a vendor.
Someone from Idaho stopped and bought that orange retro chair that was part of our curbside finds. A person stopped from SD and bought a few items. These were example of people that had just come in to town to eat or get gas on their way to somewhere else.

In the pics #1 is Kountry Junkers from Eau Claire, WI we are talking in to signing up for Junk Bonanza. They are both great fun and happen to be an aunt and neice only 4 years apart in age.
In pic #2 is Leslie of Pocket Books from Lakeville, MN and a vendor at Junk Bonanza.
In pic #3 is Cheryl's booth of Tom Boy Tools and her Junk Devotion from Pine Island, MN and a vendor at Junk Bonanza.
In Pic #4 is is Amy's booth of Junkologie from Duluth, MN

  47. The Vintage Treasures market was a great success especially, for a first time event!!! St Charles is located along I-90 and US 14, so we had alot of traffic that stopped just passing by. Of Course, we finished on a very high note as Ki and Kerry stopped by in the mid afternoon on Sat. We were able to take a group photo too.

leveta....if you're going to use cups/saucers, what will you do with the flower-shaped glasses on there now?
when i first looked at them, it reminded me of hummingbirds....wouldn't it be cute to somehow turn them into functioning hummingbird feeders?
you've surely seen some of the ones made from bottles with tubing encircling them down to the feed opening? i wonder if there's a way to convert those that would look cute, be operating and attract the birds?
if not, i guess they'd look cute hung with wire/crystals/tea lights like an old insulator?!

    Leveta,

I love the cup and saucers for your chandelier. What a clever idea! Collecting vintage lights is a passion of mine. I especially love a fixture that still has prisms. I use prisms in decorating. I make valances from fabric napkins and hang prisms or tassels from each "point" of fabric along the valance.

I awoke early this morning and beat the garbage men on my neighborhood route. Found a rare treasure....a small boat anchor along with it's steel chain and rope. It's in great condition. I also found a perfectly in tact Playschool kitchen set. It's going to be a great day!

The only thing on our garbage route unforually is garbage...We been setting(DH has)a trailer up for our DD and DGK, and just happened by the S A thrift store and seen that light sitting there(knowing it wouldn't be there long)and I let out and OHHHHH and DH rolled his eyes and turned to go around the block....lol Do you know where Eddyville is? Do you use it on wood to, or just metal?? Thank YOu...My DD's BF was teaseing me about taking it and how I should feel bad. I told all give them 5.00 for it, besides if I didnt get someone else would... and I sure don't feel bad...lol

    Posted 1 year ago #
  64. I mainly use it on metal, and i use kilz on wood...but i have also grabbed up the auto primer and used it on wood and it has worked fine as long as you are going over it with an oil based paint! LOL Yes, I'm very erratic in my behavior while making things. LOL Sometimes I have no idea what I'm going to end up with...sometimes I use a good lacquer when all is said and done, just to make sure all paint colors stay put. LOLOLOL Seriously though, I have had the best luck with kilz on wood...i clean it up, sand it down and put a nice clean layer on, then I paint away!

    Leveta,

DH sounds great! I have seen casts off...whether they were placed on the roadside or they had fallen out of a truck...and I always turn and look back to see if they could be used. My husband uses his keen instincts, as well as his peripheral vision, and just keeps on motoring down the road...sometimes he even floors it! HA HA

My neighborhood is filled with folks who leave great stuff for the garbage men. Two weeks ago, I picked up two eight foot double shepherds' hooks from the curb of a lady who will soon be moving. This morning, my next door neighbors left a bright blue bucket full of some type of orphaned lilies on their trash can. So, I adopted the flowers and planted them with my other lilies. I may have to paint or hide that blue bucket!

Along with trash, I am an avid rock collector. I use rocks for landscaping and have built two semi-circular flower beds using the many rocks I find roadside. To think that an elegant-appearing adult would feel excitement at the thoughts of erosion!

I am truly a tomboy...grew up on a farm.. helped my father mow his fields with his Ford tractor and bush hog. Rode horses and 4-wheelers. Taught my children to fish and greatly enjoy the outdoors.

Eddyville...hmmm...how close it that to Lexington? Or am I going in the wrong direction.

I to like to 4 wheel, I take my GK's for a ride most every day to see the goats, chickens, peacocks ect across the road then to look at my pumpkins tosee how they are doing and then to eat a few blackberries and back home again. I use to fish but don't anymore, Love the rocks. I think next yr I will split my hostas and plant them around the trees behind my shop and put rocks around them. My DIL has many on his farm...I to ride a ford tractor at times to help DH mowe my sisters farm down the road from us where my pumpkins are. Hmmm seems like we have several things in common...I used to love playing football with brother and his friends when I was younger. DH is as bad as I am when it comes to picking up stuff. He'll see things on the road and go back to see if it's useable. I love horses, but don'r have any. Eddyville is the other way. I'm 90 miles from Lousville. We get up there once in a while to the big fleamarket by the funpark. Can't remember the name. They have them once a month...

  72. Greta, I used to enjoy working with rocks also. I have a lot that I have collected over the years. I like the way you did yours. If you dry stack them you can move them if you want to. I've rearranged mine a few times. LOL I finally wised up & started to use a dolly to move the large ones. LOL

I am so glad someone else out there loves rocks. Our kids think we are nuts because when we travel we always seem to bring back interesting rocks for the flower beds. And my favorite souvenier is a small glass jar that we fill with misc. bits of nature- we have one from Monterey Bay Ca. that is filled with beach sand small shells and bits of driftwood and feathers-one from the Grand Canyon has pine needles mini pine cones and small rocks. The Grandkids have helped us fill the jars when they go with us and they think it's so cool to see the things they helped gather. And we get to gather memories. Free and decorative souveniers!

I saw my first morning glory bloom this morning. The morning glories reseeded from last year. I intended to take a picture but I had many things to do today.

I dropped my son off for basketball practice today and went to an old haunt of mine. It used to be a major attraction in Huntington, WV. There is an entire street (three blocks worth) devoted to antique stores. It is known as "antique alley".

Whoa. What I saw was sobering. Many of the stores have closed and some were even boarded up. It was like a ghost town. The stores that WERE open had many empty booths. The prices were so high that all I bought were some back issue magazines (two for a dollar). I constantly read magazines.

The antique mall in which my booth is located seems to be growing instead of shrinking. The prices are the most reasonable around. The truth is, though, I am not selling much this month. I took time to rearrange and add to my booth yesterday. I have already marked down some of my items that have not moved. I truly do not want to just "break even" in this endeavor. Just covering rent is the same as paying a store owner for the privilege of giving my merchandise away for free.

I hear June and July are sluggish months. I hope this to be the case.

Oh, by the way. I found myself looking for a cheap chandelier...I have lots of cups and saucers and had thoughts of replicating your unique idea!

I know it had to be heart breaking to see all those closed stores...I kinda feel that way when I see these old buildings in towns(even our town) that once were a thriving business or even the heart of everything at one time. And now gone and the building decreped. And wonder what it was like back in it's day. I have to say that the teacup chandy ideal has been used many a time...On the other site I visit they have had some neat ones on there. There's one on there now that a lady is making and it's all white with white birdhouses mixed with white teacups...You wouldn't think it would be pretty all white but it is...I hope you find a great one and then we will all be waiting to see it...I'm sure things will pick up again. Seems like the fall people start buying again...Like in the spring people buy cause of boredom of winter and then fall it's the same way...Your treasures will flying out the door before you know it...

    Posted 1 year ago #
  76. Blossom - I agree with your comment about breaking even being like paying a store owner for the privilege of giving your merchandise away for free. That would make me ill if that happened to me. I can't even imagine!

  77. Tina, I do like rocks & sometimes they can be special rocks. I have one in front that I hope is never moved. My DH put it there for me & as a joke he used to ask me when I came in from watering my flowers....Did you water my rock? He's been gone almost 9 years, but I still think of that when I water there.

    Maggie,

Last summer, my husband and my son built a semi-circular wall for me. The rocks were up a hill behind our house and I got a "whim". The job took a sweaty evening's worth of hard work. They placed them around a swing we've almost as long as we have been married.

Seven years ago, doctors found an extremely rare tumor on my husband's adrenal gland. We were in our thirties and our children were young. Before the operation the doctor gave my husband a prognosis of two years to live.

The pathology report came back-- an agonizing week after the surgery. It WAS a rare tumor. But the tumor my husband had was different and even more rare than the first. It has the potential to return-- in complex places (the heart, corrotid artery, etc.) But it hasn't.

The experience deepened my perspective on life. Gestures, like the simple act of placing a rock (or rocks) in a flower bed, are rooted more deeply in our hearts than we know.

    Leveta,

I love it! What creativity! It also gives me a glimpse of how great tea cups would look! The white is gorgeous as it matches the china. I think prisms would dress it up...but I have this things for prisms.

By the way, I read from another post that you once lived in Pennsylvania. I lived in Saylorsburg...by Stroudsburg and Hershey for several years. Another commonality. Were you born there?

Yes I was born there. Lancaster, when we moved we lived in Marrietta. Went to Hershey last time we were home...But the park was so crowed we didn't stay long...Mom was from there and Dad was from here, Oh little over an hr away. They met in the service. Dad was stationed when he came back from Korea in his home town. He also was a bouncer(he weighed a whole 160lbs) in a little bar at the edge of town. She went out of night with her girl friends and they met. 2 weeks later they were married...He died just after their 50th Ann...

I wish my rock wall picture was closer. I actually used my computer and cropped the photo to make it closer. Then, when I sized it using the resizing feature below, it ended up appearing further away than the original pic. HMMPH!

Born in Lancaster! I am impressed. Great birthplace. Full of Amish and Mennonites. Have you ever read any of the Lancaster County books by Beverly Lewis? I enjoy them. I am intrigued by the Amish. My only disappointment with them is that they don't decorate! Ha Ha

Isn't Marietta in Ohio? I bet it is. That is why you look for Ohio people on here! I live in a Tri-State area KY/OH/WV.

Enjoyed the story of how your parents met. Married after two weeks! And I thought our whirlwind five and a half months was quick!

    Jillruth,

Thank you for your prayer! I believe it was prayer that helped us through that time. What I did not write was that, after the first surgery, my husband almost died ...post surgical internal bleeding. My husband knew it...he works in health care. He lost a frightening amount of blood...but never left consciousness. He kept telling the nurses in post op that he was bleeding. They didn't listen. WHen they doctor came back in, he rushed him back to surgery.

My husband is a pastor and has been working toward his master of divinity degree. We had people as far away as Hawaii praying for him.

Thirty eight is so young. It must have been horrible for you. From your post, I gather that you are remarried. That is a blessing!

Leveta--Been to Daytona many a time. Lived right by Cape Canaveral...saw rockets launch...and if you didn't see them...you
felt them...shook our house...which was miles away from the launch site.

Lived in rural part of NY until I was seven. About 70 miles from the city. Very pretty state. Been to the city only to go to the airports!

    Leveta,

My husband is fine now. Passed the 5 year mark! PTL!!! Is tested bi-annually.

My husband and I met at church. I was at college completing my finals and working at my senior placement thirty-two hours/week when our pastor asked my husband to sing/play for our revival. My husband loved our church so much, he made it his own. Our pastor was a jokester, and on my first week back he took my husband and I by the shoulders, turned us toward each other and introduced us. The rest is history.

My husband was youth pastor for seven years, then associate pastor, and has pastored two churches. He also has a full-time job. In addition, he has been taking courses on-line for years. A master's of divinity degree is about a 3yr full-time student degree. He is half way there. Busy fellow but always is there for me and our two children. The nicest man I have ever known and my true soul mate.

My mother had the same ulcer scare...had lost so much blood by the time that she went to the Dr. that he sent her straight to the ER.
Scarey situation! Gee, I tease my husband about being his junior by two years! Thirteen would give me way more ammunition! ha ha

There is also a mysterious piece of bright blue metal in the back under the upholstery. i hope it's an old license plate!! this picture above is a headboard and "bottom" board...? lol. i really needed one. I'll probably leave the chair alone till i find the right vintage upholstery, but the headboard is getting fixed up stat! I should sand it down but it has too many nooks n crannies and my head would spin. instead, i'll be bristling the chips away and spraypainting it black. what? :))

good point BL. glad to hear about your husbands' recovery too. i have black and white damask patterned bedding, which i think could pass for a french-country feel, since getting my hands on toile patterns is impossible in my area. i don't adhere to any single style/era, i just pretend all treasure are fair game and if they look nice together then they belong together. good junkers attitude if you ask me! :P i'll post the finished project in about a week or so!

marge... those two wooden chairs up there- they ought to be painted black and someone should make two B&W toile cushions for them!!! maybe line around the bottom of the seat some of that pom-pom edging/trim .... just a thought while we are talking french-country..

who knows where to find those drink crates? i remember a few years ago while buying me some blush wine -i'm famous for my boones (^_^) i asked the clerk at the liquor store if they had old wine crates for sale or free and she looked at me like i had a booger! at the time, i was missing two drawers in my kitchen and wanted to rig them to fit the empty spaces where the drawers once lived.

  120. So, I was lying in bed last night reading the recent JR posts on my laptop, when, oh my, the phone rang. It was only about 8:00 pm, but sometimes I just feel like getting horizontal a little early and either read or watch tv. Anyway, back to the story, I ran to the phone (hoping that both adult sons are not in trouble) and discovered that it was one of my husband's co-workers. Hmmmm, what on earth could she need on my cell phone? She's an ANGEL - did you hear me? An ANGEL! She was driving a couple of miles from my house (she just lives down the road) when she called - she just saw four bed side tables or end tables for FREE out to the road. When she told me where - I knew what they were. The last two weeks I've gone to a garage sale at that house and they were selling dozens of sewing machines and sewing tables - some without the machines as well as the full deal. So, I pealed off my jammies, threw on some clothes, and snuck out of the house with my husband sound asleep in bed. I hurried down to the house, jumped out of the car, and within about two minutes, I had three of those suckers crammed into my car! I got back home, snuck back into the house, slipped back into jammies and slid into bed. My husband hadn't even rolled over!

GRETA - I did it - my first night time prowl - I didn't have a cape, I wasn't Goodie Grabbin' Gretta, but I was Super Sue!

Story doesn't end here...I met my DH at his office to take him to lunch. I thanked Tammy, the wonderful co-worker who called me last night. My husband said, oh, I heard about your little run last night - so you got those tables for Tammy, huh? I said HUH? No, I got them for me! He wasn't a happy camper when he learned that all three of them were in our garage. He HATES my junk! So, I had to come home from taking him to lunch and CLEAN the GARAGE in order to justify them taking up space until I can turn them into Cat Box Concealers to sell at my shows!

  122. Sue, what's your plan for making the litter box concealers? If you don't mind, please explain. I read through the other thread about concealing litter boxes, but am not sure what you will do with these tables. It looks like an interesting project!

    Posted 1 year ago #
  123. Leveta - yep, kinda cool with other people looking out for me!

Marge - I plan to paint them all - possibly one white, one mustard, and the other black. Then I'll distress the edges for shabby chic look. I'm hoping to find some cool toile fabric that I'll attach with velcro to hide the legs & litter box. I'll have the fabric come together on one side and kinda make tie-backs to form an opening for dear little kitty to get in/out to do her business. I've got it all in my head - just have to act it out now!

Love that story Sue! What a sweetheart Tammy is to call you. Too bad she couldn't get a big spot light to shine a giant S in the sky kinda like the Bat Signal to let you know of curbside castoffs. Then you could run "into a nearby phonebooth" (greenhouse) and change into your cape. I know I'm mixing super heroes here but it still would be cool LOL!
Congratulations! Those are great tables, can't wait to see them finished.

  127. I like the idea with the tables. I have 2 cats and their box is in the basement. I found a cardboard box that would fit right over the litter box, turned it on it's side so the opening was in the front where the cats go in, then I just covered the box with a pretty wallpaper I had. It wasn't as sturdy as your idea but it did the job.

    Posted 1 year ago #
  128. Yes, Tammy IS a great gal for giving me the 411! Oh, shoot, as far as Super Sue in my cape and all - I could have used my "phonebooth" greenhouse as my launching pad! ROTFLMBO!!

  129. Good for you Sue!! Here's a thought~what if you turned them upside down and used what was the top for the bottom and the legs become the posts of a four poster bed for a cat/dog. Or you could still use it to conceal a litter box but would look like a canopy bed. You may have to put a piece of plywood across the legs at the top to support your fabric drape. You could hang tassels from all four corners.
    Thinking out loud here~Jill

Oh, and my husband has the same take on my finds as yours does...CLUTTER!!!!

Tables like that sell like crazy. I want to see the end result so don't forget the pictures!

I think we need t-shirts (like the Junk Revolution shirts) that affirm our dark and delightful deeds. Some people are "Garden Enthusiast". We could wear a "Garbage Enthusiast" T-shirt with a can printed on under the lettering.

    OH...such endless possibilities....

  141. Greta - you once again have me ROTFLMBO! You are such a smooth writer and wizard of words! I think "infamous" would be more like it, hehehe...

My husband is starting to get it, even wondered when my lease is up if I should go to something a little more roomy than our Jeep Cherokee so I think there's hope for him yet. LOL.

I will post pics when I get the sewing tables revamped. The mind is still going on those and hasn't spit out the final ideas yet.

I absolutely LOVE the idea of t-shirts bearing "Garbage Enthusiast" - super idea!!! I haven't ordered a JR t-shirt yet because I'm trying to come up with my own slogan for my t-shirt...maybe even sell a few at my craft shows or something...

leveta....i can see that in many colors.

    going dark-maybe mustard under black
going medium-maybe maybe black under a seafoam
going light-a cool pastel green and pink/one under the other

guess it depends on if indoors/outdoors....surrounding colors-etc??

you got it leveta!!! the first coat need not be full or perfect cuz you'll cover it with the second and randomly remove...so you'll want that uneven-imperfect look.
those clear crystally stars and punch glasses are gonna look so cute together, too!!

I have a JR t-shirt and hat. Wore them on the "yard sale trail". Would you believe 2 men asked about where I got them and why "junk". I just smiled, said "I'm into junk." and left it at that.

Do you think I can spray the 2nd coat over the white primer and do the same thing or does it have to be reg. paint??

My son was telling me about how to take a regular plastic container and cut a spot for the cat to get into and you keep their litter box in the plastic container.. sorta out of site in a way.. I think he saw it on either DIY or HGTV not sure.. but said they used just a regular plastic storage container... you can take the lid off and clean it out.. he cut and put a small doggie door in his basement door and the cats use that.. so they can keep the litter box in the basement and keep the door closed also.. says it work well for them and I have been to their home and never ever a cat smell or anything.. just a regular small doggie door that you would put on your outside door.. he put on his inside basement door..

we installed the cat door in our basement door as well and it works purrrfect. my cat has since passed and now my dogs (not the minis but the larger!) can squeeze their bums thru it if not locked at all times. what a sight that is!!!!! lol ;} so....no feline too big to go thru those!
