Oh, so cute. I'm just wondering where the duct tape is?! Great job redneck!
Sue
You are very welcome. I've really got a new appreciation for wooden crates these days. Yours look great in black.
Margo
Thank You Sue and Margo! The black stain worked really well for me and everything in them popped like I needed! Of course, I have black stain all over EVERYTHING from the mad painting spree leading up to the week-end! LOL
Sue - the duct tape is there I promise! My business cards are someone else's that I put duct tape over THEIR info., then I put MY logo on, my fliers sported some duct tape, bags, etc. - then there is duct tape all around on various things...but I promise, I am keeping up with my "duct tapin' the sophisticated" mission! LOL
Looks great! Isn't it nice to have a junk community that shares!
Peace,
Ki
Yes, I can't believe that there is so much sharing going around. Some people would rather not give away their "secrets" and I really appreciate the freegan-junk-lovin-sisterhood we have here.
I second that. Not that I have much talent in how to, but being new at this it's so nice to know that their are sisters on here that go out of their way to help you learn...
Speaking of "learning". I'm new to junking and I am just opening my first booth at a local indoor flea market. Took me some time but I think I am finally ready. However, I need some advice in setting up my booth. Is there anything I should definitely have, such as shelving types and furniture items. Display ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am a "newbie"
Well, how kewl!! I just recently bought twelve wooden boxes for a dollar each. Had planned on using some of them in my booth for display, but was gonna use them, as is, and sell them off as I could. Think I ought to paint them or leave them?
Hi Rosie! I think either way you go, they make great displays!!! I stained mine with ebony stain just to tone down my display...I had so many other things going on in there, I didn't want the crates to be part of the "business"! However, I LOVE the way they look all scraped up, stained up and natural! I would just go with whichever way fits in with your display! Either way, I know you are going to make it look FANTASTIC - I wanna see pics!!! :-)
I have some in my booth (old Remington ammo boxes) and soften the look with vintage feedsack cloth when needed. Sometimes it makes your object you are selling pop. I really wish everything in the booth would "pop" and find a new home right now....LOL ! Please post pictures of your booth when completed. Good Luck ! Jan
OMG Redneck, it's you again! what a great display. Diane
Good for you!
I like that bookcase!
Nice job!
