I have several neat pieces with, what I think, is a beautiful, rusted patina on them. What do you guys use to "seal" in the rust without making it shiny or changing the look of the piece? I've used several different kinds of spray-on polyurethane type stuff and it seems like it always looks a little different afterward. Any suggestions/ TIA

I use the spray poly and i like the way it makes the piece look after. You try a matte finish. that's the only thing I can recommend.

I used matte spray poly on bed spring wreaths and it looked very natural. It sure makes handling the metal easier without getting rust all over your hands.
