Perhaps this show is just new to me, but I just found it today. It features 2 sisters who have a business selling and decorating with good junk. They do re-purposing, too. It is worth a watch. You can drool over some of their finds!

It's on HGTV. I haven't had a chance to see it yet but look forward to the re-runs.

It is on Saturdays at 7 PM eastern time - they filmed 13 episodes this year, and only 6, I think, have aired so far.

the junk gypsys have been around for quite a while..i have follewed them for years, but the tv show is new.....each week it follows them thru a decorating gig...they shop at flea markets and remake items for whatever room they are decorating. they are 'friends' with maranda lambert and the 'decorated' her and blakes wedding reception. they have become more famous in the last year or so because of that..

I have watched the show and the girls seem to have lots of character and are fun to watch. Their budget is definitely higher than I could ever think of spending but no high profile clients for me just average joes. Have seen them do some cool stuff though and have pick up a few useful tips. Definitely plan to keep watching to see what they come up with next.

Are they the ones that did the travel trailer for the country singer? I think it was Dirsk Bentley. That was really creative.

I have seen a couple, I thought they were specials. I love their style and their friendship. I especially, loved the little pink house they did, with the ship chandelier. They have a website and I am so in love with that big, pink suburban they have, I want a old pick up, too!

They're from Texas and set up at the big antique week at Warrenton/Round Top each Spring and Fall and host a very popular Junk Gypsy prom. It's almost impossible to explain how crazy people dress for it.. basically anything goes. I've been several times and it's a blast.
I'm so excited for them and their success. At this past Spring/ Warrenton show, my sister and I set up as vendors for the first time and I was so excited when Amie (the blond)and her mom came to our booth and actually bought a few things. They are very down to earth and approachable. I hope their show is successful because it helps our business as "junkers".Posted 11 months ago # -

I saw "junk gypsies" premier show yesterday. I do like what they do and they're all about "themselves". Will have to watch again.

Oh, Market Warriors sounds fun; thanks for calling it to our attention, Vintage Junkie!

Sounds similar to the old "Bargain Hunt" from England - I used to love that show :-)

There is a British TV show I started watching this week called "Put your money where your mouth is" - it is on the Ovation cable channel. This new Market Warriors appears to be from that show? But I used to watch and love that show Bargain Hunt too - that was with amateurs, wasn't it? and this 'Put Your Money' is with experts and with amateurs - I just found it yesterday. I like to see the flea mkts they attend in England. I have never met a flea mkt I did not like. I love reading about everyone's finds and makeovers on this board - you are all so talented. {I am just a shopper and will fix up a piece for my own, not to re-sell. My house is now saturated, so it is not much fun to shop anymore except for gifts for friends.} I live thru all of you great people. Happy 4th of July to all of you.

Sounds like a good show. I can remember seeing Ki and her friend(I'm sorry I don't remember her name) when they first started. It got me so excited, it opened my eyes, and opened up a whole new inexpensive way to express myself:) I'll look it up and see if I can watch episodes on HGTV site!
