Decided to start a new post - hope nobody minds.

Got this small haul this morning at a few sales. The ottoman was $2.00, old scale was also $2.00, deer antler bookends were $3.00, the Welcome sign with the hooks was $3.00, bag of old lace was fifty cents, the two chef plaques were seventy-five cents each, the green bottle was fifty cents. Total cost? $12.50 Experience with finding and looking at stuff with a great friend? Priceless! LOL

What about you? What have you found today - or are you still out there!? LOL

  6. This is my favorite...complete with all the dirt straight from the barn. Cleaned up it is going to be wonderful in the booth to hold paper items....not repainting or anything other than murphy's soad and waterhose! Jan

  7. Wow! What sale did you go to? I obviously missed it or you had already been there and bought the good stuff. Actually, I only hit about three sales. Too much to do. Love that red shelf! I was really hoping you were going to say it was going to be for sale in your booth. If you decide to sell it, let me know. :)

  8. I promise to give you first refusal if I decide to sell it. I went to the sale on CR 25 off Hwy 82 East and didn't get there until it had been going on for an hour. Just lots of neat stuff to repurpose. It was the only one I went to today. I had too much to do around here too. They still aren't through cleaning out the lady's house and this was their 4th sale. Those porcelain light fixtures are super cool and will become candleholders soon (in the booth). I think I am going to try and start a garage sale next Sat. on my blogspot and will let everyone know. Lots to get rid of at cheap prices too! Post what you got when you get time. Jan

  9. I hit a few yard sales on 4/4 - didn't get a lot, but love what I did find! An old bonnet hair dryer in a hatbox case, an old swinging picture frame, some cut glass pieces for a cloche or garden totem, and even a couple of items for my trusty old Singer sewing machine - bobbins and a replacement belt. I paid $3 total.

Last week I spent a bit more, but got some great stuff then too - vintage electric fan ($5), spice rack with milk glass bottles ($5), 1920-something wooden USA puzzle (missing a piece - but it was only 25 cents!) and a Vitrock grease jar that unfortunately has no lid ($2).

Can hardly decide what to keep and what to sell!

  14. All sorts and sizes and they are so cool to refurbish. I posted a picture of one I redid for spring that I bought from VanessaKae - I added spagnum moss, some spanish moss and speckled eggs. Looks cute! I need ideas for the 2 porcelain light fixtures I found yesterday...start thinking! Picture is in a post above. Thanks! Jan

  17. Jan, could you attach a cup and saucer to the top of the light fixtures for neat little tree mount bird feeders?
