A friend of mine needed a cute coat rack to put by her front door, but the space was limited in depth. We took an old wooden screen door, took off the screen, sanded and painted it a funky melon color (to pull out the main color in her newly redecorated dining room to the right of the entrance way), put a mirror in the top half of the door, added cool funky fabric behind the middle spindles and the two bottom panels. We added 3 antique glass knobs for hanging purses as you enter the home and added 2 antique hooks near the top for coats. We mounted it directly to the wall and everyone who enters wants to know where she got the cool coat rack. If you want to see it, go to rebbecca becki bruce loar on facebook.
