A couple of years back, I bought a huge box of beaded ornaments. The lady selling them said that she, her mom, and aunt had made them in the 70's. When I counted them, there was in excess of a hundred. I am thinking I will sell part of them at my barn sale for abour $5. each. I need to know if there is any current interest in this type ornament, because I had a lady offer to give me what I paid for all of them, letting me keep the ones I use each year(about 25).I paid less than a dollar each.

If they are what I THINK they are I love those. I have some for sale in my Etsy shop. They are just so fab..some are really ornate. Are they the ones that have sequins and beads and pearls ..ribbon or cording and paper foil dresdens pinned on? Let me look for a pic...

They always remind me of something my gramma would have had..she really liked girly sparkly stuff. She even had a pink house when her and grandpa moved off the farm to town ..and she had 4 boys!

some of these are very intricate in detail and consume alot of time. a relative on hubby side has made every ornament on tree for yrs and just looking at a few closely...beautiful, wow!!

Hope and Joy,
Yes, this is the type. They are totally covered and very pretty. I was told that they were made in the late 70's. I am thinking I will sell them for $5. each. I have picked out the smaller ones for a retro tree I do each year. The tree is white, and they really show on it. I decorate about 15-20 trees on our property every year, depending on what I find during the year to decorate with. This year, I plan to decorate one with nothing but re-purposed handmade decorations, like toilet paper roll stars and garlands, lace and paper flowers.Posted 1 year ago #
