(just wondering this as i read about the st. patty craft ideas)

what is your most favorite time to decorate and/or go look at how others do?

since posting on this site...i can't help but be more aware of how others homes are/aren't decorated...the ideas range and i mostly gaze at the outsides while passing by...but have also gotten some inspiration from it, too!

are you a leader and try to create new things to awe others or a follower and re-create others ideas?

I love Halloween. I love the cute decorations, not the goulish ones. I love spiders and bats and black cats and cute (yes cute) vampires and ghosts. I even put my fog machine out on the porch for the Trick-or-Treaters. When I find my pics, I'll share. They are all purchases, however, except for my fabric (stiffened) ghosts.

I love decorating for Xmas most. Even going so far as to decorate the tops of the kitchen cabinets and top of the fridge. Have a tree in every room including tiny ones in the bathrooms.
Easter is a fun one too. The Easter village comes out and even though I have no kids left at home we have to color eggs for the local boys and girls club. Coloring the eggs is my favorite part of Easter

oh...lovecrafting, there's a place somewhat near us that the manoli family has been making easter displays since like 57'. it takes a whole year to draw, graph, get and color the shells...yes, i said color the shells...they are all real eggs! it is such a sight to see in pictures, so in person it's probably amazing...especially for kids!
don't have exact site but if you look up eggshellland, ron & betty manolio, lyndhurst ohio then you'll be really wanting easter to get here soon!!

I looked it up and boy is it fantastic! I wonder how they get the eggs to stay in place. Maybe glued onto golf tees? I may have to try one with plastic eggs. Thanks for sharing!!!!

  8. Oh my - how to pick just one? I really do it up for all holidays and seasons - but for this post, I might just pick a different one -from a tad before Memorial Day on up to July 4th, you will find a red, white & blue thing happenin' at the farm. It is not overdone (I don't think any way)...a combination of chippy white, some red, some stars, some tin (don't know why but it works) and some blue. I just love how festive it feels. Put it all together in a pine cupboard and you have "Americana". Several summers ago I found 4 48 star flag panels - likely from a town hall...will figure out how to hang them from the front of my house one of these years.
