To celebrate the opening of the Junk Revolution Community message boards we are having a give-away! Win this scramble quilt tote! It is the newest addition to the Junk Revolution online store and was created by my talented sister, Karla. Use it for your flea market finds, groceries, diapers, books...anything that needs hauling. What do you have to do? Simply respond to this post. One winner of the scramble quilt tote will be chosen at random on March 2nd. But wait, there's more. That is an amazing bag! I am so thankful for this site also... I have been a collector of junk for years and have had limited ideas... many people have thought me crazy... now I have a purpose for my junk and people can quit giving me grief about my collection... when I find the time, I will be using all the wonderful ideas from these ingenious women on this site to help me along! Thanks so much for creating this!

Thank You, Ki, for the opportunity. I have just posted it on my blog. Maybe this will be my lucky year. My son is the one that wins all this kind of stuff, not me, but I did win Margo's Junk Calendar and I'm still showing it off to whomever will give me the chance. (lol) I would love to take that tote on all my junking journey's. :o)

Me too! I could use it when I "shop" for junk! It's eco friendly, roomy & OH so cute! It looks like my "coffee pot lamp" would even fit in it! If you remember, I met you @ the Buffalo, NY Home & Garden show 2 years ago & showed the lamp to you. I had the Rehouse shirt on. Still going to Rehouse & STILL finding great junk for my projects!
If I don't win the bag then would you consider coming back to Buffalo as a "consolation" prize? LOL! I had such a great time meeting you & seeing the projects in person. C'mon Ki - we need the cheering up here in the frozen Northeast!

I'm jumping in. I don't have a blog but trying to figure it out. I'm big on bags. I keep 7 in my car for shopping. I always refuse the bags at the store. Once someone told me I HAD TO USE ONE. I told him "I don't think so!!" I've purchased all mine. This 'created' one has my name all over it.

I don't have a blog but I do have a message forum for friends in Wisconsin. We have a number of crafters and junk collectors so I thought they would really enjoy your site too! I posted a link to your contest there. We are big fans of the 100 Mile Garage Sale between Winona and Red Wing, MN along the Mississippi River during the first weekend in May. Happy to have found your site. Have junked for decades and am glad that junking has a following. In the 60's my dad had a dump truck and took out the trash to be incinerated from local stores. Mostly paper, but sometimes, when they were re-doing the displays, he came home with some interesting finds.
My friends do not share my passion, but...who cares?

Oh wow, I'm the perfect Trashion-ista for that bag :D lol...I love the old apron scraps added to it, those old feed sacks had the prettiest, brightest colors back in the day and I wish I could buy dog food in bags like that!

I am from Northern MN, on the North Shore of Lake Superior. We have met a few times and you are truly an inspiration. I LOVE this bag. Great job! I would love to win it. I could take it junking. wow wow wow This creation reminds me of going to craft with my aunt when I was little, she had everything you could imagine and she let you put things together anyway you wanted. She never restricted my imagination and for that I will be forever grateful. Wishing and hoping in Kansas.

I found your site today when I was surfing for creative and new ideas that I can use in my antique shop. I immediately made a note of the address so I coulf find it again. By far, this is the best site I have found in the last year. Not only are the ideas creative but also modivating.
The bag reminds me of the ones we made in the 1960's. We called them hippie bags. The idea was to have a bag that no one else had, embroidered and decorated with images that meant something to us personally. They couldn't be bought in a store.
I love that this era is being reborn.
Here is a picture of my shop at Christmas, Fox and Finch Antiques in Richmond, Illinois.

Ki, Ihave read about your junking in the "Country Home" magazine. The latest and last issue of "Country Home" highlighted the "insider's guide to flea markets" and Junk Bonanza was featured.
