This antique markets has 3 shows per year. May, July, Sept. JH and I went this morning (I've been geecked for some time). Couldn't wait to go. Woke up this morning to puckets of rain coming down. Sat around for a while drinking morning coffee and contemplating what to do. Well the rain slowed so we took a chance. It was just wet when we got there. It turned out great--even a little warm. Picked up some good items-hope the pics show. The best find was a Little Golden Book (for Paige) titled "Trash to Treasure" my kind of book--saw 2 of these there today. More books for Paige, beakers, beaker holder (both for my Halloween display), wheel (for a wind chime), old cans (to make pumpkins)and a vintage advertising Easter item. Actually went to find shelf brackets and a small table for my bathroom--of course what you're looking for you can't find--and I didn't.

Now the next stop is the Troy ES in a couple of weeks.

    Have a good weekend all.

  2. Great finds, LuAnn. I like that Easter advertising item. I'm also interested in seeing how you make pumpkins from old cans. Please post pictures are you have then done.

    Betsy:

Thanks for asking. You can get a preview of the pumpkins on Mamie Jane's blog: http://mamiejanes.blogspot.com/ It is the posting for August 13th. I thought these were really neat. I picked up 2 more today at an ES so I may have my own pumpkin patch growing soon. I will post pics as soon as I get them finished.
