A friend brought this by. He thought it would be great for the barn sale. I first thought I would take it apart for the pieces. My niece said it is too nice to take apart. It is about 40 inches square. I am thinking about painting it robin egg blue and "shabbying" it. Then, there is the problem of what to do for a top.

Well, I am so proud of myself. Hopefully, I have learned to resize my pictures for this forum. Here goes a picture of the coffee table.

sounds like you have a plan or you could
stick a mattress in it and make a doggie bed?
fill in the top with something pretty solid and put on ceramic?
saw some off & turn it into a couple shelves?Posted 1 year ago # -
I thought of the shelf idea, but can't bring myself to cut it. Doggie bed might work.

If you do a doggie bed you might want to do the mattress first then choose some paint

A old window would look neat for the top of the table or paint a solid wood top and use mod podge and vintage photos or postcards.

Thanks, DPumm, love the mod podge with vintage photos idea. I think this is what I will do. Great idea!I have a huge selection of vintage (instant ancestor) pictures. This will be the perfect "resting place" for some of them.
