I got this lot of spice bottles at an auction recently. Was going to use them in my soldered bottle class. But the class idea fizzled and so I got in gear with another project. And there is no soldering involved. See my blog post for the whole story, pics and all.

Little collages in bottles! How lovely! Now if I have a large bottle I like (and can't let go of) I could do the same with personalized items for someone. Oh! great for a bathroom w/old adds, trinkets, lace. Great inspiration! Thank you.

Well Margo you've done it again . Those are great !!
I've also seen the same bottles done with a halloween picture or label modge podged on and cinn rubbed all over the jars to make them look primitive .

i've tried the cinnamon for a rustic look and maybe i just didn't like my end result....what method do you use to achieve the look? do you use the red oxide-cinn. like some suggest or just add it into your modge podge mix?

I checked those out Margo, and I LOVE them! Here's another idea I saw at a church fundraiser and I copied the idea. So simple and inexpensive, yet a great gift idea for year round gifting and making for male and female and young or old. Just shells, sand, glitter, glass, beads, sequins and what ever you like. Some raffia wrapped around the top with a shell tied on. You could tie on a poem or something to go with the theme. A nice little Southern Zen Garden, shake it up and the scene changes to show new surprises.
