This tricycle had been in our store for months. Rusty. No pedals. When the price came down to 15 dollars, I bought it.

Then, I scoured the net for pictures of an idea for turning it into a planter.

    Nothing inspired.

I decided to spray paint it a good, spring color.

I bought the tinware coffee pot and tea pot and use the lids as hubcap.

Had the little locker basket in my "stash".

Drilled the tinware to the seat and the front fender of the trike and the basket to the back.

Hung some green prisms from the handle bars.

Now, I am looking for MORE old tricycles!!!!

Either I am losing it....which is entirely possible....or I read DPumm's tricycle post and was subliminally inspired.

Just to be on the safe side....Thanks DPumm!!!!

Thank you for your compliments, gals! You know how to make a junker feel good!!!! Betsy, glad you are back!

    Funny tricycle update:

Our store hosted an antiques show this past weekend. We had a successful show and great attendance.

My tricycle was used as a display on the front ticket-table. It received many compliments.

The one thing it did not receive... was a new home!!

    Phooey!

Thanks everybody!! I am trying to locate another vintage trike. Not so easy.

Now, I am working on a vintage scooter with wood handlebar. Want it to be a primitive planter/ porch decoration.
    Gigi,

Google: "Broken tricycle pictures"; that is where I found the cute black and white of the little boy.

You could move the picture to your picture program and then send it online to Kodak...specify the size you want. I think that might work!!
