Make a dish out of cement on a large leaf so the veins show on the inside of the bowl.

  4. duh! I didn't think about making a dish! I think I have spring fever sssssooooo bad... We have ice and more ice then it thawed a bit and turned to slush and the temp is supposed to drop today - I bet we get solid ice after this. I am waiting for a shipment from Chicago that is way over due. I so don't want to go out in the cold... My poor brain is mush too. Just thinking about all the stuff to do!!! The stuff I want to do all is outside. GGGGRRRRRRR. I've sewed until I'm sick of it. I've made jeans skirts for the DILs, a few friends and myself. They are getting rave reviews. The GDs don't like them at all. I have searched high and low for the camera disk that goes on the computer so I can supposedly do pictures. I guess I could clean house or something useful. sigh.

I found a broken bird bath (half was missing) on garbage night!! (snicker, snicker) I actually look for broken birdbaths while garbage-grazing because the pedestals are very versatile.

I turned the broken part of the bath bowl around where it could not be seen and placed a large, tall birdcage in the remaining bath. I spray painted both and put the married pieces in the middle of one of my flower beds.

I used this wood stand earlier in the spring. I could not anchor it without concrete...the wind blew it over and broke it.

That's why I love birdbath pedestals. A tall, ornate pot of Wave petunias would look great. The weight of the flower pot would help it stay on the birdbath base.

You could also get a deep plant saucer and mosaic it. Haven't done it myself, but how hard can it be? (She said, with a grin!)
