Just brainstorming...
I found a couple books of uncut doll clothes for a quarter - dolls are gone. Any ideas?

maybe photocopy pics of your kids, grandkids, etc to that size and let the kids play dress up with them?
maybe use them collage like form on already existing pics...add a snazzy outfit onto someone and a caption??
also wondering if there's any websites that offer older paper dolls to copy off?? sure there is somewhere on here....maybe start with the book companys name or publisher??

That is a fun idea but I have enough to do more than that... I think the GKs will make cute Dolly Dingle dolls. There are some Civil War gowns... ;oD Yeah - photo album cover or something. Maybe some ornaments? Name tags?

yes, they would make adorable tags on christmas presents!!
can you get ahold of the clear ornaments that pop apart and make individual ornies of the gk/kids, etc for your tree??

I think they would be cute decoupaged on a vintage traincase, hatbox or on the big, flat wooden hangers.

THANK YOU so much for the inspiration! GD's and I have decided to do their pictures, the paper doll clothes and decorate Great Grandma's retirement home door for Christmas. The girls get to pick out Christmas doll clothes for themselves. Great Grandma gets to see fun pics every day and share with her neighbors AND her door gets something unique!!! Since their cousin is too little (just born this morning at 2:35 am and healthy) the youngest family member can be the baby paper doll!
I saw a nicely done center piece made with a paper doll somewhere on line. Yes there are sites where you can download pictures of paper dolls. I think name tags would be cute too.

AHA moment! I found out you can google paperdolls... you knew that... to the left it says images so I hit 'images' and a whole bunch of pictures come up... then I hit the ones I liked and printed it out!!! So much easier than going on the actual sites... I printed a bunch of paper dolls for the GDs to color and cut while I am in Florida... (in January) - I wouldn't want them to forget Grandma now would I?
I am also experimenting with fabric paper dolls - it's just an experiment... I saw wrist band dolls somewhere in the internet jungle... gears are grinding... It sure does have to be simple...
and those won't be for the GDs - too much work... those be for to sell.Posted 2 years ago #
