  1. I am excited to welcome everyone to Junk Revolution's Community! It was nip and tuck getting things up and running before I leave town. Will post pics of my junking adventure when I arrive in Ocala and set up my computer in the bunkhouse. Have fun visiting and sharing and I will be be checking in soon.

If you have any questions or need help posting, the Moderator will be on line daily to offer tips and solutions. There is a FAQ page as well.

    Welcome to the Revolution!
    Peace,

  31. My favorite times of the year are bulk pickup days in the spring and fall! I fell for junking and fell hard. A few years ago I wouldn't even go to a yardsale...buy other peoples junk..no way...Now I've become addicted! So, I am thrilled to have found this site.
I am looking forward to seeing all your projects and learn lots of new things and hope to share some of mine. Mary

  36. Hi fellow junkers! So glad I found you! Thanks Robolady!

I'm tenderlee, a.k.a. tennesseetrash from the GJ forum. Occasionally I create garden junk, but I'm more of a collector. Been gardening and collecting cool junk for about 35 years now.

Good to see so many familiar faces from the GJ forum :-) And I look forward to getting to know all the new people I haven't met yet!

I'm not sure if I can put my photobucket link here, but I'll try, this is my first post at this forum, not sure it'll work. These are pics from my garden and decks last year. I love rusty stuff, etc.

  37. Okay, this is too much fun! I have been away from my computer for a week and it is great to come back and see everyone connecting!

You are welcome! I hope the message boards give junkers a friendly and inspiring place to share ideas, tips, stories and talk trash. I am lucky to be a part of such a wonderful community!
    Peace,

Hello from just outside of Nashville, TN. I am so excited to find this site. I'm sure it will provide me with loads of new ideas. My husband is always saying "you NEED a new project!" (Meaning I have too many going already).

I have BIG plans for this Spring & Summer. I have a cute little dresser that I bought for $25 at a yard sale that is destined to become the new vanity in my guest bathroom. I have a nice old mirror frame from another old dresser that will become the mirror above the vanity. A sweet new neighbor gave me an armoire that has great possibilities (it has some repairs that aren't the best)for a place in the room I've fixed up for my 4 granddaughters. I was gifted with an old iron bell that belonged to my great-grandfather that needs to be cleaned up and mounted on a pole outside my house. It will be great for calling the hubby in from the far side of the property.

Plus we will be closing in the front porch of our home this Spring and I'll have to go out and find some nice accessories for that part of the house. Yay! I can't wait. Auctions, yard sales, junk stores here I come!

Hi Kathy--I'm like you--I like multiple projects going at one time. Unfortunately there are some I never finish. Oh well, maybe sometime later.

  41. Hello All from the frozen state of Iowa! I have had an itch for garage sales, flea markets, and auctions for awhile now. The bad part of living in Iowa is there aren't any around this time of year! I've been an avid watcher of the GJ forum and have looked this site over as well... thought I'd join in instead of lurking!!!

I wish I had more time to work with all the junk I have... it keeps collecting and ideas pop into my head- but with a full time job, a 9 year old and 7 year old active in school... and a husband working full time and going to college full time- I barely get my laundry done! I'm so jealous of everyone who can make the time... huh, maybe that's what I need to do!

Looking forward to many ideas and lots of great chatter from everyone here!

  42. Glad you decided to join "thehillbillies". I'm sure you will find lots of quick and easy things to make. There are alot of others that are 'time-challenged like yourself.

I came across this site a few months ago, enjoy all the ideas and discussion. Spring is here! I have been busy rearranging my garden "decorations". I have been fortunate to marry a farmer whose family has been here 3 generations. I'm always on the lookout for stuff that surfaces out of the dust, interesting old metal gears, tools, etc. Today I found an old marble!
