  1. OK, There is a thread for odd sayings. How about one for one odd word. I've seen flash cards and Scrabble tiles a word stamped in metal what ever. BUT how about a cool one word list and what you put with it...

I found an old Whitman tin candy box that says, "Loveliness". I keep it in my guest bathroom filled with avon samples next to the souvineer ashtray filled with perfume samples that says "We're seeing the sights and singing a tune. We're having a swell time on our honneymoon. Margaret and Skeets. Dated Sept. 21, 1939" "Loveliness, doesn't it just make you feel good! Ok sorry that was more than one word! Diane :)

I posted a photo a week or so ago using a metal hand with a finger pointing toward a framed flashcard with the word "Wipe" on it! LOL

Is that what you're talking about, or do you want "pretty, calm, peaceful" words?

  11. The power of a word!
I began a new job Monday...remember that feeling of the first day of school filled with both excitement and trepidation?

I packed a small word card last night to take with me today: "will"

I also like the words: "intentional" "kindness" and "hope"

    Enough

Just a reminder that, in spite of what we want, we probably have ENOUGH. Don't add anything else to a project, it probably already has ENOUGH. In an argument you've probably already said ENOUGH, so just hush! LOL Think you need a breast enhancement job? Think of the money and pain involved. Look down at yourself and think, "I have ENOUGH"!! LOL

    Guess that's enough.............. (snort!)

    "Character"

***To me it is the deepest part of the soul. It determines how we operate; how we see the world; how we treat others; and how we conquer (or succumb to) success; failure, pain, temptations, tragedy, commitments, and love.

“Watch your thoughts, for they become words.
Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”

Here's one I found in my Scrabble dictionary:

zarf - "a metal holder for a coffee cup". Now, don't anybody steal that! :) I love that word, and I'd never heard of it.

    On the serious side: Grace.

  31. Ha! Should I be worried that I was able to read that copperhead?

It's funny, I don't get letters mixed up, so I guess I'm not dyslexic, but I have a real problem mixing up numbers, I always have to check myself twice. Is there a word for that too?

  32. I'm real bad about it when I get a bit dehydrated

  33. Barb, I used to work in a hospital laboratory & when I went to school it was pre-computers (how old do I feel right now). Our teachers told us to be careful when writing down numbers, as it's very common to mix them up. Until then I thought I was the only one. Go figure!

Love the words with under-used letters, ladies!!
