I currently live in Baltimore, and also am pretty new to the flea market scene. I found Patapsco flea market via google, and would not recommend it. It's not the kind of flea market you think it is, lol. Let me know if you have checked out any of the others from the link above :)

Graphite,

You are in junker paradise!!! I checked out architectural salvage, consignment, antiques shops, and fleas markets in your area. Baltimore is one "junky" place!!!

I did find a flea with over 600 (gasp!) vendors:

Hi, glad you joined us. I'm in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. Harpers Ferry has a pretty decent flea market. Take I-70 west to Frederick and then south on 340. There's an indoor on the right and and outdoor on the left. I'm talking flea markets not bathrooms. yea, yea I know this is West Virginia. Diane :)

Welcome
you can go to "search the community" and look for flea market locations
Here is a website to help you along http://www.tagsellit.com/flea-markets/IN/all/list

I went to one in Anderson, Indiana last week end. There were very few cars in the parking lot when I got there. It was a huge building with about 3/4 of the spaces or more for rent. There were 2 tables out side. One of the vendors said a lot of the vendors went to flea markets that are more occasional or seasonal.

I am "new" to the flea market scene, but have been antiqueing since I was about 10 with my mom. I am 31 and have lived in Maryland (and PA) for most of my life. This past weekend I was sceduled to go to Shupps Grove flea market in Adamstown, PA for the "Fishing, Hunting and Farming" theme weekend, and unfortunately had to miss it at the last minute. I was pretty devastated about it. Anyway, that is about an hour and 45 minutes away from me and was willing to drive for good junk.

I have read a few reviews of Shupps Grove since... and am almost glad I didn't make it now... people are saying how expensive things are now, and how vendors aren't as plentiful or willing to make deals lately.

I am looking to go at it again this weekend and was hoping to find something a little closer to home. Does anyone know of a fairly reliable good flea market in the area northeast of baltimore? I am really looking for things with character, rust, flaking paint, vintage kitchen linens, old dishes (even chipped ones), love things with old weathered wood, farming, fishing, hunting, old books (don't have to be in great shape), and things of that sort. A few places I have found seemed to have things like newer baseball cards/vcr tapes/things you would find at junky (and not in the good sense) yard sales/kids toys from recent years. Just not what i am looking for. Anyone have any good suggestions!? HELP!

Thanks so much!!! I look forward to hearing back from you all! Hope y'all have a great day!
